I am a Full Professor at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada and an Adjunct Professor at the Queensland University of Technology in Australia.

I specialize in cumulative effects assessment (CEA), regional assessment and strategic environmental assessment, particularly for natural resource megaprojects. I have co-edited multiple influential books and my scholarly works and technical reports have shaped policies and best practices in impact assessment across Canada and internationally. With over 25 years of experience, I have advised all levels of government, commissions, industry leaders, Indigenous nations, law firms and non-government organizations on CEA principles and methodology.
